Who we are

TinyPomo is operated by Funcoder UK (Jonathan Buckland, Eastbourne, UK).

What this page covers

It covers two products:

The website

tinypomo.app is a marketing page. You can read it without an account.

Launch list

When you join the launch list, we save:

It is saved in a private Google Sheet in our Google account, using Google Apps Script. Google processes it for us.

We use it only to send one email when TinyPomo reaches the App Store. No spam. We never sell or share it.

The lawful basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing [email protected].

We keep it until launch day, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first.

Analytics and cookies

No analytics. No cookies. No tracking. No third-party fonts or scripts.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages). Like most hosts, Cloudflare may keep basic request logs, such as your IP address, to run and protect the site.

Where data is stored

Google and Cloudflare may process data outside the UK, under their own safeguards.

The iOS app

You do not need an account.

The app has no analytics. It has no crash reporting. It has no ads. It has no tracking. It does not use a device identifier.

There is no Funcoder server for the app. The app does not make its own web requests.

Apple can still be involved. Your private iCloud, if iCloud is on. And Apple’s payment system, if you buy an unlock. A postcard leaves your phone only if you choose to share it.

What the app stores

The app stores this on your device:

It also stores settings on the device. For example, whether notifications are on.

iCloud

If iCloud is on, that data syncs to your own private iCloud.

Funcoder cannot see that data.

If iCloud cannot be opened, the data stays on the device only.

The Apple Watch app uses the same private iCloud. The watch does not talk to the iPhone directly. It keeps its own copy on the watch.

Apple Health

Apple Health is optional. It is read-only.

The app reads your step count and your workouts. It counts only running distance. It uses that only to award in-game credits, and only if you turn movement rewards on.

Each time it updates, the app reads the last 7 days of steps and workouts from Apple Health. It saves a daily total for each day (steps, running distance and your step goal), plus a log of credits earned, which records each award with that day's step count. These stay in the app, and in your private iCloud if sync is on, until you use Settings > Reset All Data or delete the app and its iCloud data.

The app does not send Health samples anywhere else.

It never writes to Apple Health. It does not read heart rate, routes, or location.

If movement rewards are on, the app can check those totals in the background about once an hour.

The app does not ask to use the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, calendar, or motion sensors. Sounds in the app are generated on the device. They are not a microphone recording.

Notifications

Notifications are local. The app schedules them on your iPhone or iPad.

When you first open the app, it asks if it may send alerts, sounds, and badges. You can say no.

The app does not collect a push token. It does not send notifications from a Funcoder server.

Apple may send silent background updates to keep iCloud in sync. These contain no message content, and Apple sends them, not us.

A notification can include game text, credit totals, module names, and the current objective. It does not include the task name you typed.

Lock Screen and widgets

Live Activities and widgets stay on the device. We do not push them from a server.

A Live Activity can show your task name on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. It can also show the session time, a reward, the next build, or a landing time.

Widgets read a snapshot stored on the device. That snapshot does not include your task title.

Purchases

The Mars Program and the Command Suite are one-time unlocks.

Apple handles the payment through StoreKit. We never receive your card details. We do not run a receipt server.

The app checks the purchase on the device. It does not keep a copy of your receipt.

Sharing a postcard

You can choose to share a postcard of your colony or of a milestone you earned. The app does not send that picture to us. A colony postcard always shows your colony picture, its rank, how many modules are online, and the date. If your crew is unhappy, the picture shows protest signs.

A milestone postcard always shows the badge, its name and description, and the date you earned it. "Include statistics" is on by default. On a colony postcard it adds completed missions, crew size and streak. On a milestone postcard it adds the badge's figure, such as "7 DAY STREAK".

You pick where it goes, with the iPhone or iPad share sheet.

The share screen says the card leaves out task names, exact focus times, Health data, and credit balances.

Children

TinyPomo is not aimed at children.

The app has no age-specific features. It does not ask your age.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The app does not send personal data to Funcoder.

If a child used the launch list form, email [email protected] and we will delete that address.

Your UK GDPR rights

If UK data protection law applies, you can ask us to:

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected].

On the website, the personal data we can act on is the email from the launch list form, if we still have it.

In the app, your data stays on your device and in your private iCloud. We do not hold a copy. We cannot access it, correct it, or export it for you. You can delete it yourself. The steps are in the next section.

How to ask for deletion

Email [email protected].

For the website, tell us the address you typed into the launch list form. We will delete that signup if we still have it.

For the app, the first option is inside TinyPomo: open Settings > Reset All Data. That clears the data stored in the app, and it also clears the iCloud copy when sync is on.

You can also delete TinyPomo from your iPhone or iPad. That removes the copy stored on the device.

If you use the Apple Watch app, delete TinyPomo from the watch as well.

If you delete the app without using Reset All Data, iCloud keeps its own copy. Remove it on your iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap iCloud.
  4. Tap Manage Storage.
  5. Remove TinyPomo’s data.
